My name is Valerie
Originally from Haiti, known as the Pearl of the Antilles in the Caribbean. Haiti is also known worldwide as the first and greatest exporters of spices, tea, coffee beans, cotton, cocoa beans, orange peel.
Growing in an environment where all major illnesses were cured and treated by natural sourced medicines and natural root-based origins, I was always inclined to go the natural route. For generations, cultural and ethical knowledge was transmitted and used to treat, cure, and prevent diseases and common illnesses. Our fresh, profuse, and wide varieties of herbs were frequently used at specific, regulated dosage and mixtures to cure the most common illnesses and symptoms and our spiritual well being bathing for purification for you Aura, bathing with leaf for good luck as well, purification for you chakra etc.
Growing up I had naturally inherited and benefited from this ancestral knowledge and knew how the transmission was materialized through communicative guidance and inductive reasoning. In addition, preventive natural medicine implicitly applied as a reinforcer to strengthen the immune system to fight and eradicate all sorts of illnesses. Inspired by the natural and intrinsic fascination of the proven capabilities of natural medicine, its indubitable role is played by the naturally grown inputs, such as leaves, roots, fruits, veggies, antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, vitamins, fibers, and so on.
In my country, natural medicine in a wide range of applicability stimulated the envy and intellectual curiosity of exploring the external application to help to solve or alleviating issues inherent to external factors and symptoms.
A complementary anecdote: As I recalled, the wide varieties of freshly cut infused tea that my grandmother always made for everyone, mostly untasteful, we’ve always tried vainly to manage not to drink. In response to our reluctance, she always claimed, the tea might not be palatable, but it's very beneficial for our immune system. Furthermore, she stated that nature provides regularly at due season specifics fruits, and veggies that are good for our wellness. During summertime, I recalled the profusion of avocados, mangos, corns, papayas, pineapples, passion fruits, soursop, pomegranate, breadfruits and so on.
When school is about to open she always has a tea that she is giving us before we start school to detox our body from everything that we eat during summer. And I do believe that God has created every leaf for a reason.
